Grade 1 Internal Hemorrhoids And Other Grades Of Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids can be both external and internal. The internal hemorrhoids usually happen when one of the veins located inside a hemorrhoidal cushion swells too much. The internal hemorrhoids start with grade 1 internal hemorrhoids and then grow further to the higher grades of hemorrhoids.
The internal hemorrhoids happen when hemorrhoidal cushion loses its capacity to retract back to its usual position. This causes the veins to swell and stick out from the surface of its cushion. While sticking out, the veins also take the connected tissue with it, thereby causing the grade 1 internal hemorrhoids.
The internal hemorrhoids are usually graded on a scale of 1 to 4 according to their size and severity. The grade 1 internal hemorrhoids represent the initial stage of the internal hemorrhoids. At this stage the hemorrhoids start to grow inside the anus. However in this stage, they are not able to protrude out of the anus canal. However these hemorrhoids have symptoms like bleeding or itching.
The grade 1 hemorrhoids are usually a result of a bulging varicose vein. They are present without any prolapse and are usually asymptomatic. The grade 1 hemorrhoids further pave the way for higher grades. The first one to appear after grade 1 is the grade 2 hemorrhoids. This grade represents the first stage when the hemorrhoids fall in prolapse. At this stage the hemorrhoids tend to protrude from the anal canal during a bowel movement. However they retract back into the body, themselves when the bowel movement is completed. The next one to happen is the grade 3 hemorrhoids. These hemorrhoids tend to protrude from the anal sphincter during a bowel movement. Also these hemorrhoids do not retract upon the completion of the bowel movement. However these hemorrhoids stay inside the body if they are pushed back in manually. The grade 3 hemorrhoids are known to bleed more often. Also they are inflammable. The last stage is the grade 4 hemorrhoids. These hemorrhoids tend to protrude from the body almost for their entire lifespan. They can also be pushed back in. However they tend to slip out again on their own after a short time period without any effort. The grade 4 hemorrhoids are very severe. They tend to bleed easily and are prone to different infections. They may also develop an internal blood clot also referred to as thrombosis. The best way to avoid hemorrhoids is to be on healthy diet and take lots of water and fiber. Also it is important to ensure timely and proper bowel movements. Even if the hemorrhoids happen, it is better to consult a doctor and take a herbal, homeopathic or a medical treatment as soon as the grade 1 internal hemorrhoids appear. This will help to avoid further problems caused by the higher grades of hemorrhoids.
